Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Almeda Road; Arthur Lee Bell Charged
Houston, Texas (May 29, 2019) – A man was fatally hit by a suspected DUI driver on Friday in Houston, according to the police.
The deadly accident occurred on Friday, May 24, on Almeda Road.
Police said Arthur Lee Bell, 62, was driving a silver Ford Edge northbound on Almeda Road when a man stepped in front of his vehicle and was fatally hit by the Ford.
Bell said that he didn’t see the man.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed.
Investigators said Bell showed signs of impairment and was arrested at the scene. He has been charged with driving while intoxicated.
An investigation is underway.
