Man Killed in Austin Pedestrian Accident on North Lamar Boulevard
Austin, Texas (May 3, 2019) – A man in his 40s was killed Thursday morning in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in North Austin, according to the police.
The deadly accident occurred just after 6:00 a.m. March 2, in the 8700 block of North Lamar Boulevard.
Police said a small dark pickup truck was heading northbound when it struck the man who was attempting to cross the street.  
The man was taken to the hospital where he died. His name has not been disclosed.
The car driver fled the scene after the accident.
Police said the pickup truck might have significant damage to its passenger’s side. Anyone with information should call the police.
An investigation is ongoing.
