One Killed in Harris County Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on York Minister Drive; Esgar Lopez Arrested

Harris County, Texas (November 6, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed early Monday morning in a hit-and-run accident in Harris County, according to a local news source.

The accident occurred around 2:00 a.m. November 4, in the 16000 block of York Minister Drive.

Deputies said a pedestrian and a motor vehicle were hit by a southbound Toyota Tundra four-door pickup on York Minister Drive.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The involved driver, Esgar Lopez, left the scene after the accident. He was later arrested at an apartment complex.

Lopez was charged with Failure to Stop and Render Aid.

An investigation is underway.
