One Killed in Lubbock Pedestrian Accident on U.S. Highway 84 near Milwaukee Avenue

Lubbock, Texas (April 14, 2021) – One person was killed early Tuesday morning in a pedestrian accident in Lubbock, a local news source reported.

The deadly accident happened on April 13, on U.S. Highway 84, north of Milwaukee Avenue.

DPS said a driver saw someone walking in the middle of the roadway and tried to swerve to avoid hitting the person, but they lost control, and the vehicle rolled over.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

The driver was taken to the hospital with head and neck injuries.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
