Houston, Texas (March 27, 2020) – According to the deputies, a person was killed Thursday night in a hit-and-run accident, just north of Houston.

The deadly accident occurred at about 10:17 p.m. March 26, at the intersection of FM 1960 and East Richey Road.

Deputies said the pedestrian was struck by a red SUV at the intersection.

The victim was killed in the accident. Their identity has not been released.

The driver fled the scene after the accident.

No further details regarding the accident were available.

An investigation is underway. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the sheriff’s office.
