One Killed in Austin Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 35

Austin, Texas (December 31, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run accident on December 22 in Austin, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 10:30 p.m. in the 5300 block of North Interstate 35 northbound frontage road.

Police said a white female was struck by a vehicle on the interstate. The vehicle fled the scene heading northbound on Interstate 35 after the accident.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where she later died. Her name has not been released.

The vehicle was described as a 2019-2022 dark gray Nissan Altima, which police say will have significant damage to the front and undercarriage of the vehicle.  

The police are investigating the crash.
