41-Year-Old Man Killed in San Marcos Pedestrian Accident on Post Road
San Marcos, Texas (June 2, 2020) – A 41-year-old man was killed Monday night in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in San Marcos, according to the police.
The deadly accident took place around 10:00 p.m. on June 1, in the 1600 block of Post Road.
Authorities said the man was walking with another man on the edge of a sidewalk or in a bicycle lane when he was struck by a vehicle.
The involved vehicle fled the scene.
The victim was taken to Ascension Seton Hays Hospital in Kyle, where he later died.
According to investigators, the vehicle is likely a maroon 2002 to 2005 Ford Explorer, which is missing the right, front turn signal housing and possibly has a broken headlight.
An investigation is underway. Anyone with any information about the driver or vehicle is asked to contact Sgt. Sam Myers at 512-753-2182.
