One Seriously Injured in Lubbock Pedestrian Accident at 82nd Street and Avenue U

Lubbock, Texas (October 4, 2021) – According to a local news source, a pedestrian was seriously injured early Monday morning in a hit-and-run accident in Lubbock.

The accident happened around 1:00 a.m., in the area of 82nd Street and Avenue U.

According to the report, the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, for unknown reasons, on the street.

The pedestrian was taken to UMC with serious injuries.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after the accident and was later arrested and taken into custody.

No further details regarding the accident were provided.

An investigation is underway.
