Pedestrian Struck, Critically Injured by Big Rig on N Shiloh Rd at Arapaho Rd in Garland

Woman Critically Injured in Garland Pedestrian Accident at N Shiloh Road and Arapaho Road

Garland, Texas (March 12, 2020) – A woman was critically injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident involving an 18-wheeler Wednesday morning in Garland, according to the police.

The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. March 11, in the area of N Shiloh Road and Arapaho Road.

Police said the woman was walking southbound on the east sidewalk of N Shiloh Road when an 18-wheeler that had been traveling westbound on Arapaho Road turned northbound onto N. Shiloh Road and hit her at the crosswalk.

According to witnesses, the woman had a walk sign at the time of the accident.

The big rig fled the scene after the accident heading northbound on N Shiloh Road.

The woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The police are looking for the suspect driver and the vehicle. 

The Garland Police are investigating the crash. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to contact the Garland Police Department Hit and Run Unit at 972-205-4063.
