Pedestrian Struck, Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver on N Loop 289 in Lubbock

Person Seriously Injured in Lubbock Pedestrian Accident on N Loop 289

Lubbock, Texas (November 24, 2022) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver early Thursday morning in Lubbock, according to police.

The crash happened at about 2:15 a.m. in the 1400 block of N Loop 289.

Police said the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene.

The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was transported to UMC.

The suspect’s vehicle was described as a black dually pick-up truck. Authorities are still searching for the vehicle and driver.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts is asked to call the Lubbock Crime Line at (806)741-1000.
