Person Killed in Jacksonville Pedestrian Accident on South Bolton

Jacksonville, Texas (December 19, 2022) – A person was fatally hit by a car Friday morning in Jacksonville, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened on Friday, December 16, in the 900 block of South Bolton.

Police said a car had pulled over to the side of the road, and the driver left their car. The driver walked into the roadway as if they were looking for something lying in the road and was struck by a northbound car.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

The driver of the northbound car remained at the scene after the accident.

The police are investigating the crash.
