Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Vehicle on John Carpenter Freeway in Dallas

Person Killed in Dallas Pedestrian Accident on John Carpenter Freeway

Dallas, Texas (April 8, 2020) – According to officials, a pedestrian was fatally hit by a vehicle early Tuesday morning on a Dallas freeway.

The accident occurred around 2:00 a.m. April 7, in the 7100 block of John Carpenter Freeway.

Police said a person was walking on the freeway when they were hit by an eastbound vehicle. The driver of the vehicle attempted to swerve but was unable to avoid hitting the pedestrian. A state trooper who was driving ahead of that vehicle had swerved to avoid hitting the pedestrian.

The victim was taken to the hospital where they were pronounced dead. Their identity has not been released.

The Dallas police are investigating the crash.
