Person Killed in El Paso Pedestrian Accident at Dopniphan and Highway 16
El Paso, Texas (March 26, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train Tuesday in El Paso, authorities said.
The tragic accident happened at or near the intersection of Dopniphan and Highway 16.
According to the authorities, the pedestrian was walking down or attempting to cross the tracks at or near the intersection when they were hit by a train.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of relatives.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
