Austin, TX – A 30-year-old man died two days after a traffic collision involving multiple vehicles on I-35 near Southeast Austin, according to the Austin Police Department.  Several other people were injured in the accident.

According to the APD, the deadly five-vehicle accident happened on Thursday, August 15 in the 12500 block of  South Interstate 35.

Austin police said 30-year-old Pedro Arroyo, who was operating one of the vehicles, was transported to a hospital where he died from his injuries on August 17, two days after the accident.

Occupants of a second vehicle were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. No injuries were reported in the other three vehicles.

No additional information regarding the accident was provided.

The incident remains under investigation.
