Peggy Franklin Killed in Head-On Crash on Texas 105 in Grimes County

Peggy Franklin Killed in Grimes County Three-Vehicle Crash on Texas 105 

Grimes County, Texas (September 7, 2020) – Three people were killed in a head-on collision Friday afternoon in Grimes County, according to authorities.

The fatal crash happened on September 4, on Texas 105.

DPS said Kerry Lloyd, 50, of Tomball, was driving at a high rate of speed when the car hydroplaned and crashed head-on into a westbound car driven by a Magnolia man.

A third car then hit the westbound car.

Lloyd and their passenger, Peggy Franklin, 72, of Tomball, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Angela Dillon, 54, of Magnolia, who was riding in the westbound car, was taken to CHI St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan, where she later died.

The driver of the westbound car was not seriously injured in the crash. The driver of the third vehicle was also not seriously injured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
