Penny Causey Injured in Jefferson County Car Accident on Interstate 10

Jefferson County, Texas (July 1, 2019) – One person was injured Sunday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash in Jefferson County, according to a local news source.

The crash occurred around 1:15 p.m. June 30, on Interstate 10 near Taylor’s Bayou.

DPS said 16 vehicles were involved in three separate crashes.

Penny Causey, 62, of Louisiana, was taken to Riceland hospital in Winnie with minor injuries.

All eastbound lanes of I-10 were closed for about an hour following the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
