Phillip Rios Arrested For Hit-and-Run Accident at 19th Street and Slide Road in Lubbock

Phillip Rios Arrested after Lubbock Car Crash at 19th Street and Slide Road
Lubbock, Texas (May 31, 2019) – The hit-and-run driver who caused a traffic accident that injured one person early this month in Lubbock has been arrested, authorities said.
The crash happened just after 2:00 a.m. Friday, May 3 at the intersection of 19th Street and Slide Road.
According to reports, a  black Nissan Altima drive by Aaron Weseman, 21, was heading eastbound on 19th Street across the intersection when it was struck by a white Lincoln LS driven by Phillip Rios, 38.
Rios did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the scene. Weseman was taken by responding paramedics to Covenant Health with unspecified injuries.
Rios was arrested on Tuesday, May 28, for hit-and-run causing bodily injury.
The crash remains under investigation.
