Police Officer Hurt in Rowlett Car Crash on I-30 near Dalrock Road

Rowlett, Texas (February 10, 2019) – A police officer was among two people injured when a suspected DUI driver crashed into a police vehicle in Rowlett on Friday night, according to the police.
The wreck happened on I-30 near Dalrock Road at about 8:30 p.m. February 8.
Police said two Rowlett police officers were blocking traffic on the eastbound side of I-30 and one of them was inside a police vehicle when the civilian driver slammed into it.
The officer sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The female civilian driver was also treated at the scene before being arrested and taken to a hospital for further DUI tests.
The incident is under investigation.
