Police said officers responded to a suspicious person call and found two men who were allegedly selling drugs at the location of the call.
The officers spotted the vehicles of the two men, performed a traffic stop, and learned that the men were wanted felons.
As the officers attempted to arrest the men, they fled at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle dragged an officer for several feet as it sped away.
The officer was taken to a local hospital with a leg injury. He was listed in stable condition.
An investigation is underway.
We hope the injured victims recover quickly.
“When a person has suffered a grave personal injury in an accident due to someone else’s negligence, the most overwhelming emotion they feel is a sense of injustice. They often ask how such a life-altering event could have happened to them,” attorney Joel A. Gordon said. “The next question usually is, who can help me?” Mr. Gordon added.
