Police Officer Injured in Dallas Car Crash on I- 635 Ramp to Dallas North Tollway

Dallas, Texas (December 1, 2019) – A Dallas police officer was injured early Saturday morning in a multi-vehicle crash in Dallas, according to the police.

The crash took place at about 12:50 a.m. November 30, on the ramp from Interstate 635 to the Dallas North Tollway northbound.

Police said the officer had parked his squad car at an accident and was blocking the ramp when it was hit by a gray Toyota. 

The Toyota was in the left middle lane of the freeway when another vehicle veered in front of the vehicle. The driver tried to take evasive action but lost control on the wet road and spun severally before rear-ending the squad car.

The officer was taken to a local hospital with minor abrasion to his forehead.

The crash remains under investigation.
