Portia Dickens Killed in Dallas Pedestrian Accident on Esperanza Road near U.S. 75

Dallas, Texas (July 10, 2022) – The woman who was killed Friday night in a hit-and-run accident in Far North Dallas has been identified as Portia Dickens, 71, of Dallas, according to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The deadly accident happened shortly after 9:30 p.m., July 8, in the 13400 block of Esperanza Road, near U.S. 75 and Interstate 635.

Police said an SUV was traveling northbound when it struck Dickens and fled the scene.

Dickens was killed in the crash.
