Raiden Garcia Killed in Troy Two-Vehicle Crash at Loves Boulevard and S. Central Avenue

Troy, Texas (June 1, 2020) – One person was killed, and three others were injured Sunday night in a two-vehicle crash at a Troy intersection, according to police.

The fatal crash happened around 10:55 p.m. May 31, at the intersection of Loves Boulevard and S. Central Avenue.

According to a preliminary investigation, Raiden Garcia, 18, of Troy, was driving a white 2013 Dodge 4 door westbound on Loves Boulevard while a silver 2004 Infiniti SUV driven by Joan Rivera,22, of Temple, was heading southbound in the 1200 block of S. Central Avenue.

The vehicles then collided at the intersection.

Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the sole occupant in his vehicle.

Rivera had four passengers, an adult female, and three children.

The adult female and two of the children were taken to local hospitals with non- life-threatening injuries.

The crash closed the southbound service road for several hours.

The police are investigating the crash.
