Raphael Salas Killed in Car Crash on West Houston Harte in San Angelo

Raphael Salas Killed in San Angelo Two-Vehicle Crash on West Houston Harte at Loo 306

San Angelo, Texas (August 3, 2021) – According to a local news source, two people were killed early Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash in San Angelo.

The fatal crash happened around 1:29 a.m., August 2, on the Houston Harte Expressway at Loop 306 near Central High School located at 655 Caddo Street.

According to the report, a red Kia Sportage entered Loop 306 and was struck by a white Honda Accord.

The force of the impact caused the Honda to veer off the roadway and hit a large sign while the Kia struck multiple large rocks in the parking lot of the school.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Kia driver has been identified as Raphael Salas, 45, of Del Rio.

The Honda driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The identity of the Honda driver has not been released.

The police are investigating the crash.
