Raul Granby ID’d as Man Killed in Lockhart Motorcycle Accident on Toll 130
Lockhart, Texas (May 10, 2019) – The man who was killed in a motorcycle accident Thursday morning in Lockhart has been identified as Raul Granby,56, according to the authorities.
The deadly crash took place just after 9:45 a.m. May 9, on Toll 130.
According to a local news source, a 2012 Peterbilt TTST was traveling northbound on Toll 130 when its front left tire had a blowout, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle and veer into the inside lanes.
As the truck driver entered the lane, they hit Granby who was attempting to pass the truck in his motorcycle.
Granby was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Granby’s wife, who was a passenger in the motorcycle, was taken to a local hospital in unknown condition.
An investigation is ongoing.
