Readus Moore, Jr. ID’d as Soldier Killed in El Paso Pedestrian Accident on Montana

El Paso, Texas (July 3, 2019) – The soldier who was hit and killed by a car Monday afternoon in El Paso has been identified as Readus Moore, Jr., 23, according to a local news release.

The deadly accident happened on Monday, June 1, at 9707 Montana car lot.

As per the release, an employee of the car lot, Farhad Moraveg, 63, was moving a Jeep Liberty to a gated area when he crashed on Montana, hit a Nissan Versa, which then hit a Toyota Rav 4 and a Chevrolet Traverse.

Moraveg lost control of the jeep and drove onto the parking lot and building of the lot.

The Jeep struck and pinned Moore, who was customer inside the building. Another customer and an employee were also hit by the car or the crash debris.

Moore was taken to Del Sol Hospital where he died. Moraveg was taken to University Medical Center in unknown condition. The other two people sustained minor injuries.

An investigation is ongoing.
