Ricardo Garcia Killed in Live Oak County Pedestrian Accident on IH-37

Live Oak County, Texas (March 9, 2021) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident Friday night in Live Oak County, 3 miles northwest of George West, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly accident occurred just after 9:00 p.m., March 5, on IH-37.

DPS said Ricardo Garcia, 29, of George West, was lying in the right lane of the highway and was dressed in black clothing when he was hit by a northbound Ford F-250.

Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene.

The troopers are conducting the investigation.
