Richard Webb Killed in Robertson County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 79

Robertson County, Texas (December 9, 2019) – One person was killed Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Robertson County, according to the troopers.

The fatal crash happened around 7:00 a.m. December 8, on Highway 79, northeast of the Ridge community near Reeves Road.

DPS said Richard Webb, 33 of Palestine, was driving a pickup truck southbound on the highway when he crossed the center line and hit a northbound semi-truck.

Webb was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the semi-truck, Allen Startz, 54, of Bryan, was uninjured in the crash.

The crash closed the highway for several hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
