Ricky Teague Seriously Injured in Llano County Crash on SH 71 near City of Llano

Llano County, Texas (May 27, 2023) – Ricky Teague and his daughter, Klee, were injured in a traffic accident that left a woman dead last week Tuesday in Llano County.

The happened at around 5:38 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, in the 4400 block of SH 71 in Llano County, a few miles west of the city of Llano.

DPS said Kiana Torres, 21, of San Angelo, was driving a 2009 Nissan Altima eastbound on the two-lane highway and tried to pass a long line of slower moving vehicles while Teague was driving a Chevrolet 1500 pickup westbound.

Torres reportedly failed to complete the pass safely and collided head-on and collided head-on the pickup. T pickup caught on fire after the collision.

Torres was pronounced dead at the scene.

Teague was airlifted to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Klee has minor injuries.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
