Robert Earl Medley Killed in Newton County Pedestrian Accident on FM 363

Newton County, Texas (June 6, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed in an alleged hit-and-run accident early Wednesday morning in Newton County, according to the DPS.

The deadly accident took place at about 4:30 a.m. June 5, on FM 363.

According to a preliminary report, 57-year-old Robert Earl Medley of Newton was walking in or near the roadway on FM 363 when he was hit by a vehicle.

The involved vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

Medley was pronounced dead at the scene.

The authorities are looking for involved vehicle or vehicles.
