Robert Lucas Killed in Abilene Pedestrian Accident on Winters Freeway near Ambler Avenue

Abilene, Texas (September 24, 2021) – The man who was killed Monday morning in a pedestrian accident in Abilene has been identified as Robert Lee Lucas, 34, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened just before 6:00 a.m., September 20, on Winters Freeway near Ambler Avenue.

Police said Lucas was struck by a pickup truck on the freeway.

Lucas was pronounced dead at the scene.

The pickup truck driver was uninjured in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
