Robert Sanford Killed, 2 Seriously Injured in San Antonio Crash on Bandera Road near Zachry Drive

San Antonio, Texas (May 9, 2022) – A man was killed and two other people were seriously injured in a wrong-way collision Sunday morning on the Northwest Side of San Antonio, according to a local news source.

The deadly three-vehicle crash happened at around 10:45 a.m. Sunday, May 8, in the 1100 block of Bandera Road, near Zachry Drive.

As per the report, the man was driving a white van westbound in the eastbound lanes of Bandera Road when the van collided with two other vehicles.

The van driver, Robert James Sanford,62, succumbed to his injuries while being taken to a hospital.

The drivers of the other two vehicles were taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

It is undermined if alcohol or drugs was a factor in the crash.

No further details about the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
