Ronald Rincon ID’d as Man Killed in Upton County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 349 near Rankin
Upton County, Texas (January 26, 2019) – The man who was killed Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash which left another man injured on an Upton County highway has been identified as Ronald Rincon,55, of San Antonio, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The fatal crash was reported at about 2:32 p.m. January 22, on Highway 349, north of Rankin.
Troopers said Carlton Carter was driving a Ford F-250 on the highway when he failed to stay in his lane and entered the northbound lane where he collided with a GMC Sierra driven by Rincon.
Rincon was declared dead at the scene.
Carter was rushed to Midland Memorial Hospital with incapacitating injuries.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
