Foard County, Texas (March 31, 2022) – Two people were killed Thursday morning in a plane crash in Foard County, according to Texas authorities.
The deadly crash happened around 9:40 a.m., near County Road 411 and County Road 415, northwest of Crowell.
Authorities said a small aircraft was flying at a low altitude when a gust of wind forced it to the ground, where it caught fire.
The pilot, Ronny Baize, and his 35-year-old nephew Zane Baize of Kissimmee, Florida, were killed in the crash. The victims were flying to a relative’s wedding when the crash happened.
A GoFundMe has been set up for Zane’s wife and his two children.
The FAA is investigating the crash.
