Russell Floyd Killed in Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash at 19th Street and Milwaukee Avenue

Lubbock, Texas (April 17, 2022) – One person was killed, and three others were injured Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Lubbock, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 3:37 a.m., April 14, at the intersection of 19th Street and Milwaukee Avenue.

Police said an SUV was traveling southbound in the 1800 block of Milwaukee Avenue while a pickup truck was traveling eastbound in the 6500 block of 19th Street. The vehicles then collided at the intersection.

The driver of the truck, 39-year-old Russell Floyd, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three other people were taken to the hospital; two of them had serious injuries. First responders had to use the jaws of life to rescue people from both vehicles.

The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit is investigating the crash.
