Ryan Douglas-Jaques Killed while Helping Stranded Motorist on I-30 in Dallas

Ryan Douglas-Jaques ID’d as Trucker Killed in Dallas Crash on Interstate 30

Dallas, Texas (July 31, 2019) – The trucker who was killed in a traffic accident that left two other people injured Monday afternoon in Dallas has been identified as Ryan Douglas-Jaques,42, according to the police.

The fatal crash took place at about 12:30 p.m. July 29, on westbound I-30.

Police said Douglas-Jaques came upon a disabled white SUV in the left lane of the interstate and parked in front of the SUV in an attempt to protect it from the traffic. He then got out of his truck to help the SUV driver.

A third car which was heading westbound struck the SUV pushing into Douglas-Jaques and his semi-truck.

Douglas-Jaques was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Two other people in the third vehicle were also taken to the hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
