Louisiana Woman Sandra Myers Dies in Waskom Traffic Accident on I-20

Waskom, Texas (June 15, 2019) – A Louisiana woman was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Thursday evening near Waskom in Harrison County, according to the authorities.

The wreck occurred at about 6:00 p.m. June 13, on I-20.

Police said an 18-wheeler was traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on I-20 when it slammed into a Cadillac. The Cadillac was pushed into a Hyundai which in turn struck a trailer towed by a truck.

The driver of the Cadillac, Sandra Myers, 65, of West Monroe, Louisiana, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The drivers of the 18-wheeler and the Hyundai were both taken to the hospital in stable condition.

No other injuries were reported.

The crash is under investigation.
