Savannah Lee Hit by Vehicle on SH 63 in Angelina County
Savannah Lee Injured in Angelina County Pedestrian Accident on SH 63
Angelina County, Texas (January 21, 2020) – A highway construction worker was hit by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon in Angelina County, according to the DPS.
The accident occurred around 12:15 p.m., January 15, on SH 63, just east of FM 2743.
DPS said Savannah Lee, 21, of San Augustine, stepped into the westbound lane of the highway and was hit by a 2000 Honda passenger car driven by Destiny Husband, 23, of Zavalla.
Lee was not directing traffic at the time of the accident. She was taken to Woodland Heights Hospital in Lufkin and later airlifted to a Tyler hospital.
Husband sustained minor injuries in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
