Sean Markey Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 35 in Webb County

Sean Markey ID’d as Man Killed in Webb County Crash on Interstate 35
Webb County, Texas (December 20, 2018) – The man who was killed Tuesday morning in a traffic accident that left one person injured in Webb County has been identified as Sean Christopher Markey, 45, of San Antonio, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The deadly accident was reported at around 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 18 on Interstate 35 near mile marker 25.
According to a preliminary crash investigation, a truck-tractor semitrailer was heading southbound on Interstate 35 in the right lane when it drifted to the left lane and was rear-ended by a Honda Civic driven by Markey.
DPS said a Ford F-250 then crashed into the rear of the Honda. The force of the impact caused the Ford to roll over several times.
Markey was declared dead at the scene.
The Ford driver was transported to a Laredo hospital with unspecified injuries. The name of the patient and their condition were not immediately disclosed.
The operator of the tractor was uninjured.
DPS is investigating the accident.
