Sergio Alberto Banda Killed in El Paso Pedestrian Accident on US 54

El Paso, Texas (July 27, 2021) – The pedestrian who was killed in a hit-and-run crash in May in northeast El Paso has been identified as 24-year-old Sergio Alberto Banda, according to the authorities.

The deadly accident happened around 2:34 a.m., on May 23, on US 54.

Authorities said Banda was walking on the third lane of traffic when she was struck by a vehicle.

The vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

Banda was killed in the crash.

The vehicle was believed to be a 2011 to 2019 Grey Nissan Versa with damage to the front left side, including a missing driver’s side mirror.

The authorities are still looking for the vehicle.
