Several Injured in 11-Vehicle Crash on I-20 in Weatherford

Several Injured in Weatherford 11-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 20 near South Bowie Drive

Weatherford, Texas (January 26, 2021) – Several people were injured Saturday night in a multi-vehicle crash in Weatherford, according to police.

The crash happened at about 9:00 p.m., January 23, in the westbound lanes of Interstate 20 near South Bowie Drive.

According to a preliminary investigation, a 22-year-old Stephenville man was driving a pickup truck when he crashed into other vehicles. A total of 11 vehicles were involved in the collision.

The man was arrested for Intoxication Assault causing Serious Bodily Injury. His passenger, a 22-year-old man, was ejected from the vehicle and was taken to a Fort Worth hospital with serious injuries.

Seven people were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash closed all westbound lanes of Interstate 20 for several hours.

The Weatherford Police Department is investigating the crash.
