Shawn Michael Ezdernack Killed in Rusk County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 315

Rusk County, Texas (August 20, 2020) – A 27-year-old Louisiana man was killed in a head-on collision Tuesday afternoon in Rusk County, according to DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 1:30 p.m., August 18, on Highway 315.

DPS said Shawn Michael Ezdernack of Stonewall, Louisiana, was driving a 2016 Ford F-250 towing a trailer southwest on the highway when he veered into the northbound traffic and collided head-on with an 18-wheeler.

Ezdernack was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the 18-wheeler, 63-year-old William Dean Norman, from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, was taken to CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler in serious condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
