Sinton Man Killed in Car Accident on US 77 in San Patricio County

Man Killed in San Patricio County 18-Wheeler Crash on US 77 at BUSI 77 Exit

San Patricio County, Texas (June 13, 2020) – A Sinton man was killed in a traffic collision Friday morning in San Patricio County, south of Sinton, troopers said.

The fatal crash happened around 3:35 a.m. June 12, on US 77 at BUSI 77 exit.

DPS troopers said the man was driving northbound on the highway when he failed to control his speed when taking the BUSI 77 exit and rear-ended a Freightliner truck, which was parked on the shoulder of the exit ramp.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Freightliner driver was uninjured in the crash.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
