Six Injured After Pickup Crashes into Denison Restaurant on South Austin Avenue

Denison, Texas (October 20, 2020) – Six people were injured Monday morning after a pickup truck crashed into a restaurant in Denison, according to authorities.

The crash happened around 11:30 a.m., October 19, at Nick’s Family Restaurant at 210 South Austin Avenue.

Authorities said the driver of a silver pickup truck with a camper top apparently suffered a medical episode and crashed through the front of the building. The truck ended up almost completely inside the dining area, and the cab penetrated the building.

The pickup driver had to be extricated from the truck. He and five customers in the restaurant were taken to the hospital for treatment. Two of the victims had serious injuries.

The authorities are conducting an investigation.

We hope the injured victims recover quickly.

“When a person has suffered a grave personal injury in an accident due to someone else’s negligence, the most overwhelming emotion they feel is a sense of injustice. They often ask how such a life-altering event could have happened to them,” attorney Joel A. Gordon said. “The next question usually is, who can help me?” Mr. Gordon added.

A legal advocate can represent an injury victim or the family of a deceased victim. The attorney will file a claim on behalf of the victim and will have the responsibility of citing existing codes, laws or statues which were violated.
