Six Injured after Big Rig Slams into Greyhound Bus on I-45 in The Woodlands
Six Injured in The Woodlands Greyhound Bus Crash on Interstate 45 near Lake Woodlands Drive
The Woodlands, Texas (November 14, 2019) – Six people were injured Thursday morning in a traffic collision involving a Greyhound tour bus and an 18-wheeler in The Woodlands, according to a local news release.
The crash happened just before 5:00 a.m. on Interstate 45, near Lake Woodlands Drive.
Troopers said the bus that was on its way to Houston was disabled on the outside shoulder when it was hit by the 18-wheeler which was transporting water bottles.
The 18-wheeler also hit a large traffic sign along the freeway.
Five of the 26 passengers in the bus were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The big rig driver was also taken to the hospital for treatment.
An investigation is underway.
