Stacey Spruell Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 96 in Buna

Stacey Spruell ID’d Woman Injured in Buna Crash on Highway 96 at Business Highway 96

Buna, Texas (July 2, 2022) – Authorities have identified the woman who was injured Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident south of Buna as Stacey Spruell, 38.

The wreck occurred just before 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, on Highway 96 at Business Highway 96.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 2017 Mazda passenger car, driven by Spruell, a resident of Lumberton, was traveling on Business Highway 96 while a 2017 Ford pickup truck, driven by Rodney Wing, 49, of Sour Lake, was traveling northbound on Highway 96.

The Mazda reportedly pulled out into the path of the pickup truck. The truck ultimately struck the car on the driver’s side.

Spruell was taken to St Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont in unknown condition.

Wing and his two passengers, ages 12 and 13, were uninjured.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
