Star Byrd ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Burleson Crash on I-35W

Burleson, Texas (April 13, 2019) – Police have released the identity of a woman who was struck and killed by multiple vehicles as she tried to walk across a road in Burleson on Thursday.
Star Byrd, 39, died in the incident that took place on I-35W at around 6:30 a.m. on April 11.
According to Burleson Police Department, Byrd was attempting to cross the interstate when several cars struck her. It’s unclear whether the drivers of the vehicles involved stayed at the site after the incident.
Byrd sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Police said Byrd had been staying at the Days Inn along the interstate and may have had alcohol or drugs in her system at the time of the accident. The report showed that she may also have had mental problems.
Burleson police are investigating the collision.
