Stephanie Lunt Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on FM 812 in Travis County

Stephanie Lunt Killed in Travis County Pedestrian Crash on FM 812 near Circuit of the Americas

Travis County, Texas (October 17, 2020) – A pedestrian was killed Tuesday evening in a hit-and-run crash in south Travis County, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly accident happened around 7:45 p.m., October 13, at 14302 FM 812 Road, just outside the Circuit of the Americas.

DPS said Francisco Aviles, 63, of Niederwald, was driving a 1994 Toyota Tacoma eastbound on the right shoulder when they hit Stephanie Lunt, 41, of Del Valle.

Lunt was pronounced dead at the scene.

Aviles fled the scene and was arrested the next day.

Aviles has been charged with failure to stop and render aid resulting in death.

An investigation is underway.
