Stephen Erwin ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Nolanville Crash on FM 439 near Chalk Lane

Bell County, Texas (June 20, 2022) – Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who was killed in a collision with a vehicle Saturday afternoon near Nolanville in Bell County.

Stephen Dwayne Erwin, 64, died in the crash that happened just after 7:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18, on FM 439 near Chalk Lane, approximately a mile east of Nolanville.

Erwin, a resident of Belton, Texas, was riding a 2020 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on FM 439 when he collided with a 2007 Toyota 4-runner SUV that was attempting to make a left turn out of a private drive near Chalk Lane onto FM 439.

Erwin was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Toyota, a 29-year-old from Temple, was unhurt.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
