Steven Hill Killed in Austin Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 35
Austin, Texas (December 18, 2020) – The man who was killed in a hit-and-run crash earlier this month in north Austin has been identified as Steven Hill, 43, according to police.
The deadly accident happened just before 11:00 p.m., December 4, in the 11500 block of Interstate 35 Service Road near Braker Lane.
Police said Gerardo Barlow, 32, was driving a white 2017 Chevrolet Malibu in the outside lane of the interstate when he hit Hill, who was riding a scooter in the same lane.
Hill was pronounced dead at the scene.
Barlow fled the scene and was found at a nearby acquaintance’s home. He was arrested on a DWI charge.
