Sylvia Clavel Killed in Midland Two-Vehicle Crash at FM 307 and CR 1110

Midland, Texas (November 26, 2022) – A woman was killed Thursday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Midland, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 8:30 p.m., November 24, at the intersection of FM 307 and CR 1110.

DPS said a 61-year-old Midland man was driving a Ford F-150 when he failed to yield the right of way at the stop sign and was struck by a Nissan Sentra driven by Sylvia Pulido Clavel, 43, of Midland.

Clavel was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Her passenger, an 83-year-old Midland woman who was wearing a seat belt, escaped injury.

The Ford driver, who was also wearing a seat belt, also escaped injury.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
